All English I classes will take their District Essay on Friday and Monday.

Blocks 5 and 8 will take it Friday.  Block 4 will take it Monday.

The topic, paper and writing utensils will be provided.

Directions for your essay will be given at the time of the essay.  Grading will be done on a 1-4 scale; with 1 being the lowest grade and 4 being the highest.  Grades 1-4 are for the district, but this essay is worth 100 points towards your final.

Now here is my challenge.  In each class, if no one receives a 1, and over half the class get 3s and 4s, we will have a pizza party!  Good luck!

Freshmen, on Thursday and Friday, we spent the majority of the period in the library.  The students are creating PowerPoint presentations for Persepolis. Those that missed Thursday or Friday will be given a small group and topic on Monday/Tuesday, and presentations will begin Wednesday/Thursday.

      Michael, you do realize the final project is due tomorrow and you’ve had over a week to work on it right? E-mailing me the night before it is due might be cutting it kind of close. I thought you were working on the class dictionary, is that correct? I would look back over the list of topics to choose from.
